VIKING/ VIKINGS @ SOUTH POINT: SM MANDURRIAO, Iloilo City

Vikings Iloilo: Iloilo City Eat Like a Viking

Looking for a great place, and you'll end up south. Looking for adventure, and you'll end up south. Looking for great food, and you see yourself in the south.

The SM SOUTH POINT.

And what would strike your face and widen your eyes are these Vikings.

Vikings, A.K.A pirate Norsemen is a group of Scandinavian people who attacked the coasts of Europe in the 8th to 10th centuries A.D.

Sounds exciting huh?
But theres nothing to worry about Vikings fighting each other, or they might attack you with their sharp swords, and crush you with their big arms. Or, bring fire breathing dragons just like hiccup and night fury.
Thats, way way back ancient times. Because, in recent times, Vikings is the biggest and luxurious buffet restaurant in the Philippines.

Their first restaurant opened at the Mall of Asia in 2011.
After five years, they expanded all around Metro Manila (SM Megamall, SM Marikina, SM North EDSA, SM Jazz, SM City BF, Mall of Asia).
In Mindanao, SM Lanang Premier.
In the Visayas SM City Bacolod, SM City Cebu and SOON @ SM CITY MANDURRIAO ILOILO CITY.

Every branch has a unique interior theme:

Manhattan Skyline for Vikings SM Bacolod

Art Museum-Inspired for Vikings SM Megamall

European for Vikings SM Jazz

Nature for SM BF Paranaque

And, we will wait for the theme for their SM CITY ILOILO branch. It would also be amazing since Vikings is always looking for the satisfaction of their customers.

Buffet schedules:
LUNCH: 11AM - 2:30PM
DINNER: 5:30PM - 10PM
Schedule vary depending on the location.

Boracay gets new wastewater treatment plant
REGION September 27, 2016, Comments Off
BY JUN AGUIRRE

BORACAY – Another wastewater treatment facility has been put up in this island resort.

The Manoc-manoc Sewage Treatment Plant can accommodate 5 million liters of used water daily, the Boracay Island Water Company (BIWC) said.

It will complement the Balabag Sewage Treatment Plant, which takes in 6.5 million liters of used water daily.

The P570-million new plant is “dedicated to treating mixtures of domestic raw sewage and/or septic tank effluent from connected households and establishments in Barangay Manoc-manoc,” Fernando Zobel de Ayala, chairman of the board of the Manila Water Company, said at the launch on Monday.

The BIWC was created in 2009 through a partnership between Manila Water and the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA).

With an activated sludge system, the Manoc-manoc plant ensures that the treated wastewater is safe for marine life and suitable for recreational activities before it is discharged into the sea, said the BIWC.

The BIWC said the new facility’s output complies with the Class SB effluent standard of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

Ayala said the Manoc-manoc plant is expected to increase the BIWC’s used water service coverage to 61 percent.

Its capacity will be further expanded to accommodate 3.5 million liters more by 2017, raising the BIWC’s used water service coverage to 75 percent, according to information released to the press.

Now you know.

Lake Sebu: Highest Zipline in Southeast Asia

Lake - an inland body of standing water. When we say LAKE SEBU, its more than the lake. Because people in South Cotabato refer it to a place with Seven Eye widening waterfalls. And it owns the Highest Zipline in South East Asia of 600feet above the ground with a total of 1,100 meters ride with the view of Seven Falls below.

South Cotabato, yes, were in Mindanao. A place where all of us don't really knew. So, I want to tell you that it's an amazing place. Friendly people, refreshing views of nature arts. Healthy food and Fresh Air.

How can we get there?
It's a 3 hour travel from General Santos city depending to the weather since the road is a combination of uphill and downhill of 30° to 45°. It's so amazing when you see long boarders hovering the roads.

Your budget: For the Zipline, it will cost you 250 Pesos.
Going there: Since the place is not along the road, I would advice that you will take the PUV that can accommodate a maximum of 12 persons for 2000 pesos. This cost will take you to the Seven Falls and ofcourse to the Lake Sebu Restaurants beside the lake. If you want a floating resto in you can have it also.

Theres more in South Mindanao.
It's Superb.

SANCHEZ PEAK TREK and CAMP

SANCHEZ PEAK MOUNTAIN TREK

Its not your ordinary day since your away from home. Not just in any place but in MINDANAO.
SANCHEZ PEAK - four hours of trekking from Purok Balsinang, Barangay Olympog, General Santos City. From the City, its a one hour travel to Olympog via multicab or tricycle.
It will only cost you about 50 pesos but not fix enough since it is subject to change anytime with out prior notice.
Well trekking for four hours is serious enough, thats why befor you start the journey, there will be short reminders, prayers, safety tips, and registrations for all trekkers.
Trekking with friends is fun. There are stop overs for trekkers to rest but it will add up to the length of time to reach the peak.
Along the way, mountain views will refresh you. And if your high enough or closer to the peak, the whole GENERAL SANTOS CITY is on its full view.
Trekkers may start early, reach the peak, and go back to Olympog in the afternoon.
But the best part is at NIGHT, where the CITY is covered with lights, the busy roads, and the city streets.

SEASIDE CITY: THE CUBE

SM SEASIDE

Back to the city.
After roaming around the rivers, mountains and beaches. Here we are back in the urban area. Where buildings stand high.
Then heres the newest building. The SEASIDE CITY. With the CUBE Land Mark.
I ask myself why CUBE. Its not realy true, I just figure it out myself. CUBE maybe for us to tell that were in CEBU. CUBE - CEBU or CEBU - CUBE.

The building is oblong. With the watch tower in the Middle.
Its just 5 minutes away from the CEBU PORT via the TUNNEL in the SRP or the South Road Properties. Or almost 1 hour from Mactan Airport depending on the traffic.

It has a sky park or a garden, playground, and activity hall on its rooftop. There were also dessert bars if you dont want to go down to get some food.

The SEASIDE CITY will be done 100% on target year 2020. So, if youre already been to the MALL of ASIA maybe its time for you to visit the SEASIDE CITY.

SIMALA MARIAN SHRINE: LOVE YOUR MOTHER

The Marian Shrine
Its a master piece in honor of Mary - the mother of Jesus Christ.

Its located at Sibonga, Cebu. A two hours or less travel from SM Sea Side City via VHIRE. For as low as P100, the vehicle will drop you in front of the Shrine's gate.
There are many things you can do in this place. You can offer a prayer. Offer a mass. Write your petition and wishes and drop it in the Prayer Box.
You can also try the wishing bell where you should throw the coin to hit tha bell and if that coin that hit the bell will drop into the well, then it is believed that your wish will come true.
Everyone is invited to enter the shrine. All you need to do is just fall in line and leave your shoes and slippers outside the door to have a connection with the solemn place.
Inside, it is so peaceful, quite, and amazing.
The power of faith is realy there. It strikes to your nerves, to your heart, bones, and soul.
The feeling is totaly heaven.

Anyways, there are also rules and regulations inside the premises. No, loud voice, no skin showy clothings, like no shorts, no sleeveless etc. etc. Or else, you cant get in.
The Patron of this Shrine is Virgin Mary.
So, dont be surpised if you'll see a huge statue of Her.
Many worship her but there are some that don't recognize her.
But for those who loved their mother, no matter what she has done or she is capable of will surely consider Mary as an example of a loving mother.
Carry Her child for Nine Months. Risk Her life in giving birth. Raise Him for years. The struggle to wake up in the middle of the night. And everything that a Mother can do just to save Her Child.
So, if your dont believe in Mary, just believe in the love of your mother who brought you here on earth.
